About
Hi, I am Yongkang Xiao, a Ph.D. candidate in Health Informatics at the University of Minnesota, Twin Cities. My research focuses on large language models, LLM-based agents, knowledge graphs, graph learning, and biomedical AI. Before my Ph.D., I received my M.S. degree in Computer Science and Health Informatics from the University of Minnesota, Twin Cities.
Research interests
My research lies at the intersection of natural language processing, machine learning, data mining, and biomedical informatics. I am especially interested in the following topics:
- Agentic memory, skills and reinforcement learning
- LLMs and retrieval-augmented generation
- Knowledge graphs and multimodal knowledge graphs
- Knowledge graph completion, reasoning and link prediction
- Graph neural networks
- Biomedical NLP and healthcare AI
Contact
